This formation boasts cumulative production through 1989 in excess of 797 million
barrels of oil and condensate.
MPG administers the MPG Smackover Project which has an interest in 3 wells.

Home to the Bartlesville Sandone of the most lucrative oil-bearing
formations in the continental United States.

Okmulgee County
Located near the famous Bald Hill Field that produced nearly 15 million barrels of
oil since the early 1990s.

A highly prolific area that has generated 18 million barrels of oil since the 1920s.
MPG had 4 wells here that were sold to an unaffiliated third party in September of 2011.

A strategic prospect area surrounded by fields that have historically produced
more than 17 million barrels of oil.

Wise/Cooke County
At the heart of the Barnett Shale – one of the hottest major natural gas plays
in the United States with an estimated 26.7 trillion cubic feet of reserves.
MGP has 33 wells here.

Liberty County
Proposed location of the Bandit # 1 contained in the MPG Cook Mountain Project.

Crockett County
According to the EIA, in their 2009 appraisal of the top 100 fields by proven reserves,
the Spraberry Trend area was listed as the largest oil field in the lower 48 states.
MPG administers 3 proposed wells in the Spraberry Trend.

Live Oak County
Live Oak is another Texas County well known for their abundant oil and gas bearing geology.
MPG has four wells in Live Oak County producing from the Main and
Lucille Hockley sands as well as the Yegua and Pettus formations.
